While interacting with the Stream Machine to create our own image, we have discovered details of the original artwork that we had never noticed before. It was like looking at the painting for the first time

Create Your Own Immersive Room is an interactive experience that allows the public to create their own immersive space, starting from images of the NCMA collection, and exploring aesthetics of reality from an unseen and personal perspective.
Through Stream Machine, the NCMA audience can engage and interact with the patterns of a work of art from the NCMA collection. As a result, visitors will feel like they have been dragged into the picture, allowing them to catch every little detail and explore the art as if for the first time.
"Create Your Own Immersive Room is an interactive experience that allows the
public to create their own immersive space, starting from images of the NCMA
collection, and exploring aesthetics of reality from an unseen and personal
perspective. Through our Stream Machine software - developed on Unreal 4, the
graphics engine by Epic Games - the interpretative kiosk allows visitors to create
unexpected virtual realities, where subtle interactions between space and time
generate unique scenarios that cannot be repeated,"
Giacomo Giannella,
founder and art director Streamcolors.
This unique point of view, and the whole process of image and pattern generation, is in line with Streamcolors’ mission “to reinvent and to broadcast beauty through the electronic eyes and the right hemisphere of every single person.”

“In the middle of a dark room,” explains Giannella more in detail, “a 55-inche touch-screen is connected to a 180-degree projection. The audience is invited to play with sliders to modify the artwork patterns. The result is a very personal and unique interpretation of the original pattern.”
Amongst the paintings from the NCMA collection that can be modified and regenerated though the interaction with the Stream Machine kiosk are masterpieces like Credit Blossom by Robert Rauschenberg, Rialto Bridge by Canaletto, Harbour Scene by Brueghel the Elder, and The Cliff, Étretat by Monet, and more.
